Getting your test results
If your test results show that you may need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- phone or visit us after 2pm and we will tell you what the results are
Questions about your results
When you view your test results online, you should see any recent results that have been added to your GP health record.
Results you can see
- results of tests you had at your GP surgery
- hospital test results that have been sent to your GP surgery
Results you will not see
- hospital test results that have not been sent to your GP surgery – the hospital may contact you about your result or tell you how to get your result. Please contact the hospital in the first instance.
- information kept by other services (such as hospitals, dentists and opticians) that has not been sent to your GP – to get this information, you’ll need to contact these services directly
If you need to ring regarding the result of a test, such as a blood test, please call between 2:00pm and 5:30pm.
If you want to talk to someone about your results, more tests or possible treatments please contact us online.
